In Person Worship
Join us for in person worship every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. or you can always watch us on line via You Tube.
We are back to worshipping in our sanctuary, with some guidelines:
COVID 19 Safety Guidelines
As we return to in-person gatherings, we continue to make the well-being of everyone, especially the most vulnerable, our highest priority. As the body of Christ, we are working together to create a safe and hospitable environment for the greatest number of people. To that end, we are practicing space and grace; offering one another space and giving one another grace. The BUMC COVID Response Team has outlined the following guidelines in keeping with CDC Guidelines:
For those who are fully vaccinated, masks are not required at in-door gatherings, though you may prefer to continue wearing one.
For those who are not vaccinated, masks are required indoors.
Please keep 6 feet of distance between you and others not of your household to respect the needs of those who are not vaccinated.
Greet one another with a friendly wave – please no hugging or handshaking; hand sanitizer and wipes are available at all entrances.
The sanctuary now has ultraviolet air purifiers that clean the recirculated air moving through the space.
A Special Word about Indoor Worship:
According to public health guidelines, indoor gatherings with different households are safest for those who are fully vaccinated. For those who are unvaccinated, these gatherings pose a risk.
The pastors are fully vaccinated and will be speaking unmasked.
Musicians will wear masks at all times. According to new CDC guidelines, choral singing with masks is reasonably low risk for those who are fully vaccinated. For those who have not yet been vaccinated in an indoor space, there is increased risk of transmission in the room.
We have arranged the order of the service to include most vocal music from the chancel toward the end of the service. If you are uncomfortable being in the room while singing is occurring, please feel free to exit the service early.
